In his role as Vice President of Franchise Development, Brandon Solano is responsible for strategic expansion of Domino’s retail store count to drive brand penetration and national advertising fund growth. Brandon also leads Domino’s Global retail re-image project and internal and external franchise recruiting.
From 2008 to 2011 Brandon oversaw product innovation at Domino’s where his team created an award-winning pipeline of innovative new products including: Domino’s Parmesan Bread Bites, Stuffed Cheesy Bread, Artisan Pizzas, New and Improved Chicken, Oven Baked Sandwiches, American Legends line of specialty pizzas, BreadBowl Pastas, Chocolate Lava Crunch Cakes, and Domino’s New and Inspired core Pizza.
Prior to Domino’s, Brandon held the position of Marketing Director for The Hershey Company, where he worked for six years. In this role, he led marketing and new products for Hershey’s largest brand, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups as well as all Hispanic marketing company wide.
Prior to Hershey, Solano also held marketing positions with Procter & Gamble, the Kellogg Company, and Newell Rubbermaid where he oversaw the launch of the brand’s first culinary school, the Calphalon Culinary Center.
Brandon has been recognized as one of the top 50 marketers in the country, being named to Advertising Age’s “Marketing 50” in 2005, has twice been awarded Domino’s top team honor with a “Circle of Excellence Reppy Award” in 2009 and 2010 and received the “Innovator of the Year” award in 2008 and “Person of the Year” in 2009 from Domino’s largest franchise, RPM Pizza, Inc.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Grand Valley State University in Michigan and a MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
A native of Flint, MI, Brandon resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan with his wife Shelley and their four children.
